Bass Fishing

The majority of the time when I go fishing I fish for large mouth bass. This is due to them being in almost every body of water you can fish. Also catching a large mouth might be the most fun do to how hard they hit the bait and how hard they fight. For me I usually fish from the bank on lakes. I have fished in ponds and in creeks but I have found my most success in lakes. For the type of lure I use I like to throw some soft plastics mostly the Googan Squad Bandito bug. I will tie up my lure Texas rig style which is a large bait hood and a bullet wait with my choice of soft plastic. I use a couple techniques on how I swim my bait. I am a big fan of swimming the Texas rig but letting it drop down a little but reeling it back up. Another way is ill let it completely sink to the bottom and slowly reel it and and jerk it. Depending on the time of day and season I'll use different techniques and color of my baits. For bass they are a sight predator and anything moving they will attack. You can find them in thick weeds, under branches or rocks, out in the open, and deep in the water. Bass are a great fish to target if you like the thrill of technique and the excitement of catching your personal best. Bass fishing will always be my favorite with the many different lures and techniques you can use to catch these fiery fish.
